100% real review from singer below
Not many musicians may think of MMA-style training when it comes to improving as an artist, but developing the lung muscles makes sense to both athletes and musicians. The o2Trainer developed by legendary mixed martial art champion Bas Rutten is an invaluable tool for singers and artists who perform with wind-instruments.
For a musician, as with athletes, breath is about control. Every part of the body needs oxygen to function, from the brain on down. Of course, breath is especially important for singing and playing brass instruments, both of which rely on air from the performer to produce music.
The o2Trainer can help increase power and control by training musicians to breath more powerfully by breathing properly. Many people breathe in their chest, using only their lungs, instead of their diaphragm. A simple way to identify this error is by placing one hand on the chest, and one hand on the stomach. If you take a breath and your chest rises, but not your stomach, then you are not breathing using the diaphragm. The O2Trainer develops the diaphragm by restricting air flow, forcing the user to engage the diaphragm more fully to draw in enough oxygen.
REVIEW FROM Jad Zeidan
I'll tell you the whole story, I live in Lebanon (the country) and I started singing professionally about nine years ago, and some of the gigs were outdoors high in the mountains with unpredictable changes of temperature, it would become cold all of a sudden and fog would invade the stage and become part of the show, so i started having breathing problems and my voice changed dramatically, i lost a lot of my vocal range, and my breath got shorter and i couldn't maintain notes for as long as i used to, i went to numerous doctors to try to fix it, and i hired some vocal coaches as well, but nothing worked and i became desperate, until i saw an interview of yours on youtube with Joe Rogan and you were talking about the O2 trainer and i immediately thought that it would benefit me better and faster than any typical breathing exercise singers do, so i bought the O2 trainer about two months ago, i started doing three sets every day and i increased the sets slowly and gradually and i started getting results about five to six weeks later, and now i almost got all my range back and I'm feeling way more comfortable and my breathing is almost as good as it was before i got sick,
I could send you some clips of me singing but as i said I'm Lebanese and i sing in Arabic so i don't know how much you would enjoy our kind of music, but if you wish to talk about this more I'll be honored to send you my personal phone number and my social media accounts, I'll be more than happy to share my experience with the O2 trainer with the world, i know that athletes are very happy with it but singers need to know about it as well,
Thank you for this super-efficient and amazing invention Bas! You saved my career
